The Month of Resolutions

Resilience in Ramadan

The Holy Month of Commitment, Spirituality, and Resolutions

Last night, we explored Grit by Angela Duckworth, a book that sparked deep conversations on perseverance, passion, and resilience. It was inspiring to hear insights from a diverse group of readers—both Saudis and expats—who shared personal experiences that reflected the themes of grit in their own lives.

As we continue alternating between different genres, we are excited to announce our next book: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, which we will discuss on April 9th. Secure your copy from us today for 60 SAR.

The discussion on perseverance was especially meaningful as we approach International Women’s Day on March 8th. To honor this, we highlighted three extraordinary women who embody resilience:

1. Dr. Anandi Gopal Joshi (India) – India’s first female physician, who overcame societal barriers to study medicine in the U.S.

2. Dr. Hayat Sindi (Saudi Arabia) – A leading scientist and entrepreneur, pioneering medical biotechnology innovations.

3. Harriet Tubman (USA) – A former enslaved woman who risked her life to free others through the Underground Railroad.
